Aloha to LOST

Tonight marks the end of a chapter in my life. A piece of me will truly be missing. I know it sounds crazy to say that but it is so very true. I became a "LOST-ie" during the summer of 2007 so I had to do some catching up, but was instantly hooked. Since then, it has been a part of our lives. Blogging, discussions, theories, revelations. It has captivated us on so many levels. I think that this show has the potential to go down in history as one of the greatest series ever written. The writers are genius. There has never been a show like it and probably never will be. If you are not a "LOST-ie" you won't get it... but take my word for it; it's amazing.
After tonight, we will know how it all ends. Which questions will be answered; Which will not. Tonight's finale will make or break the reputation of the show. I hope, for the sake of my sanity, that it is amazing.
I will miss the characters. We have come to feel like we know them personally.
I will miss the Mystery. Will All of the questions be answered? I doubt it. I think the writers want us to keep discussing theories about the show for years to come.
I will miss the music. It pulls you in. It's unique. When you hear it, you instantly think of LOST. (Luckily, I have the theme song as a ring tone on my phone)
I will miss my Tuesday nights to look forward to.
So here's to you, LOST. It's been a great 6 seasons! Thank you for being my favorite show of all time. :)

Playdate with Nathan

Back on April 15th Elysha and I got together and had a playdate with our kids. Here are a few pictures:Smile for the camera!!

Nathan is sitting there being good and still... Avery on the other hand, is hard to get to sit still... she is constantly kicking those legs and flinging her arms around! lol

He was trying to hold her hand ;)

Oh! Now he's rejecting her! lol

3 Month Check Up

Avery is getting big! She is still 24" long but is now 13lb 4oz. That puts her in the 75th percentile for both groups. She's allowed to eat more at a time now (which is good since she can be a little piggy ;] )
Everything looks nice and healthy. Her doctors always comments about her "kissable" lips and strong legs. She loves to stand so my arms get worn out from holding her up, but its a good trait for her to have. I hope that it means that she will be mobile before the norm, but who knows.
As far as sleeping goes, she is awesome! she goes down around 9 and sleeps till about 3 (give or take), eats a little, then is back down till 7 or so. I hope she keeps it up and only gets better.

Let me get on my soap box...

If I get asked if Avery is a boy, or she is referred to as "He" or any other form of the pronoun, I am going to scream! I know it's hard to tell at this age for some people, but come on! I have no patience for it when she wears pink and has a bow in her hair!
Ok, I'm stepping off now. Thanks!

Lady Bugs

Yesterday I was taking Avery for a walk around the yard and we came across these lady bugs in our Magnolia Tree. I was really able to get some good shots. I dont think Avery was too happy that she had to lay in the grass while I took pictures, though. (Dont worry, she was on a blanket) lol.
One of them had spots and the other didn't. If I had to guess, the male has spots and the female does not... Time to "Google" about ladybugs!

**Turns out that both have spots but they just fade with age. Looks like this one (the one in the first 2 pictures) is a "Golden Gal" lol

Which one should I get?

My brother-in-law has decided that we should all use the word "brother" at the end of every sentence... he should get this one:

Happy Birthday Isla!!

April 15, 2010 @ 1:03pm. Isla weighed 7lb 12oz and was 19.5 inches long.
Isla (pronounced "eye-la") finally graced us with her presence after Stori was in labor for 31 hours! After going through such a long ordeal, the doctor finally decided a C-Section was needed. I felt so bad because everything Stori wanted and planned for her birth went the exact opposite. We have to be thankful, though, that there were no complications for Stori or Isla. I know they are proud parents.
I am so happy for Stori and Nick! She is beautiful! I am only going to post this one picture right now so that Stori can have the first real post of great pictures. I get to see Isla again this week... I can't wait!!
