New Furniture

I can't tell you how excited I am about this!!
A few months ago I saw this piece in the Potterybarn magazine:

Source
I fell in love with it and thought it would be perfect for in our master bedroom. I would use it to get a lot of our "office" supplies out of our guest bedroom closet now that I have a laptop. The only hitch was that it was $899 for the top and bottom pieces together. That was WAY more than we wanted to spend.

So, I went to my father-in-law. He is an AWESOME carpenter and craftsman so I thought I would see if he could make something similar for cheaper.

Sure enough, he could! Here it is:

Isn't it perfect?! It looks just like the Potterybarn one except we made it about 12" wider and about 12" taller.

It took no time for me to fill it up!

It even goes perfect with the chair that I remodeled that sits in our room!

Thanks again, Ronnie!!!

Fun in the Hotel Room

Congrats to Paige and Michael Evans!

(this is not the greatest picture, but you get the idea...)

I had the honor last weekend to be a bridesmaid in my dear friend Paige's wedding in Midland, Tx. (I sure do miss West Texas!)

It was such a beautiful day! I am so happy for you Paige; I know God is going to bless you and Michael with a long and happy life together!

Unfortunately we were pretty busy all weekend so I didnt get many pictures. I am going to have to steal a few from some other people off Facebook at some point.

Here's a few that I did snap.

Here is what the dry west Texas air did to my child's hair when we got off the plane:

Can we say, STATIC!!

Here Kitty Kitty

It seems this black cat has decided to adopt us as it's new owners. He's (or she. I haven't been close enough to it to be able to determine which) been coming around for a while now and more frequently. I think it has an owner cuz it seems pretty young, clean, sweet and well fed. Nonetheless, Avery loves it!

Thankyou Gerber!

For these little snacks! They are a lifesaver!

Avery loves to much on these more than anything else I have been able to find. The best part is that they are small and disolve pretty fast so I dont have to worry about chocking.

Coffee Lovers Dream

Cuisinart Single Serve Brewing System

I want one of these so bad! Since it's $200, I guess it is also going on my wish list...

It's the perfect combination of a single-serve coffee maker and a regular one with a pot. I love that you can use the Keurig coffee packs or put your own coffee in there, like Folgers. You can also make hot cocoa, tea, or just use the hot water for instant oatmeal and soups. My favorite, though, is that it makes a variety of cup sizes. I think it would be awesome for parties or visitors because then you don't have to make a whole pot of coffee if everyone wants something different; they can brew their cup how they want it right there. Here are some of it's other awesome features:

-Hot Water Button lets consumers enjoy their favorite instant coffee, soup, tea, and hot cocoa, in no time.
-Rinse Control instantly cleans the inside of the brew chamber to keep every cup as delicious as the first.
-Extra Large Removable 80 oz. Water Reservoir offers impressive capacity, eliminating the need for frequent refills.
-Fully Programmable full spectrum of features including Auto On/Off and adjustable temperature control.
-Blue Backlit LCD w/Digital Clock brightly displays information, at an easy-to-read glance.
-5 Cup Sizes including an iced beverage setting.
-Quiet Brew Technology lets you enjoy every cup more peacefully than ever.
-Removable Drip Tray allows extra space for travel mugs.
-BPA Free (all parts that come in contact with water or coffee).
-My K-Cup® Reusable Coffee Filter can be filled with any gourmet ground coffee, to suit personal tastes, and conveniently stores right in the unit.
-12 K-Cup® Portion Pack lets consumers enjoy a varied sampling of all that Keurig K-Cups® have to offer.
-Charcoal Water Filter removes impurities that could interfere with taste.

Picture with Santa

Lets just say, it was a disaster! lol

Ella was precious and did perfect. Annie started freaking out which then made Avery freak out. Needless to say, Emily and I had to be in the picture with the girls. At least we got one...

It says it can hold up to 4 lenses with your camera. I dont have but 1 lense, but I hope to change that in the future one day... If you click on the link you can read all of the specs on it.
Anyways, here is a picture of the inside:

It's $159 which is kinda high, but a great investment!!!
