Design & Wine

"Design and Wine" is an event that was put on by the local floral shop here in Ponchatoula. It is basically an excuse for women to get together to socialize, drink wine, and make something to take home that evening. It was a blast and I can't wait to go to the next one!
Here is my wreath that I made... I hung it on the door as soon as I got home :)

Picture This...
A football dome named the "Pink Taco"...
There's jsut something wrong with that...
But, yes, it is a topic of discussion around New Orleans that the dome will be named the "Pink Taco" after a Mexican food chain out of Arizona...
Only in New Orleans...

Yes! I am ready...
...For Christmas! I saw that the Trans Siberian Orchestra is coming to New Orleans this December... I really want to go! I love love love them. Now, my Holiday spirit has been renewed and I am all that more ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas to get here :)
So, in the spirit of the mood, here is one of my favorite videos to their song "Wizards in Winter":

It's About Time...
...That the Obama's got a little heat. I could go on and on about how there have been soo many topics that people like Saturday Night Live could have spoofed but haven't. (Reference Stori's long list here) Thank you Conan O'Brien for finally poking fun at the other side! A little political humor is OK when it is done on both sides and it doesn't get too personal!

Avery's Christmas Stocking
It is a tradition in our family to make our Christmas stockings. My mom and sister have cross-stitched theirs and ours growing up, which I am not good at or really enjoy doing, so I decided to take a different approach and quilt Avery's. I was lazy last year and simply bought mine and Jeff's stockings, but they are also green and white quilted ones, so they fit. Now, I just need to get a pretty hanger for it. I LOVE her's and am totally jealous of how awesome and BIG her stocking gets to be, lol. Oh well, I would much rather her have it and plus, there's plenty of room for Santa to fill it up ;)
